Spatial Voyagers is born, the first Spanish agency specialized in spatial computing.

Coinciding with the imminent launch of the Apple Vision Pro on February 2, Virtual Voyagers, a pioneering company in virtual projects since 2014, has announced the creation of Spatial Voyagers. This new business unit specializes in the development of content and applications for spatial computing, a field that merges the real and virtual worlds in unprecedented ways.

Spatial Voyagers is the result of a strategic collaboration between Edgar Martin-Blas, Eduardo Herranz, José Infantes, and three specialized companies. This agency has been developing a revolutionary platform for over six months to create content and applications that combine the real with the virtual on large scales, such as museums, stores, leisure areas, and events.

The agency is already working in three main categories:

  • Spatial apps: Applications that integrate with the user’s environment, allowing interactions with virtual elements.
  • Spatial experiences: Creative experiences in physical spaces, applying a virtual layer over the real space.
  • Spatial games: An R&D laboratory to develop video games in spatial computing. These games will be launched in the Apple and Meta Stores during 2024 and will be made with Argonauts XR, a 3D modeling partner.

Additionally, they are expected to announce the first “Spatial App” for Vision Pro and Meta Quest 3 in a few days, an adventure video game that develops between the real and the virtual.

The vision of the leaders of Spatial Voyagers

Edgar Martin-Blas, CEO, expresses his enthusiasm: “We are like children with new toys; a thousand possibilities open up in this new sector that mixes the real world with the virtual, and we are experiencing it with our clients. It’s like year 0 of this new technology thanks to Apple and Meta and their strong commitment to turning this into a new spatial internet.” Meanwhile, Eduardo Herranz, COO, sees this as a cycle reset, an opportunity to learn from past mistakes.

Meanwhile, Jose Infantes, CTO, highlights that immersive technologies are maturing and finding their way through spatial computing: “After almost a decade of experiments and adventures, immersive technologies have matured and are approaching adulthood. They find their place and their way through spatial computing and mixed experiences, which help us enrich our world without losing touch with reality. The moment when we can all have superpowers is very close.”

With a promising start in pre-orders for the Apple Vision Pro, reaching $700 million, the market anticipates a significant impact. This advancement not only represents a technological milestone but also opens up a world of opportunities for eCommerce and digital marketing.
